El Mismo Sol

The Same Sun... A trip to a remote "rancho" on the Yucatan Peninsula to study with a water color artist and a local Mayan batik artist left me with an unforgettable realization that we are all living, playing, working under the same sun.  When it came time to name my dress line the only name that fit these unique creations was "El Mismo Sol."

 

 These fun dresses are made from previously worn and loved shirts making them an entirely green apparel.  With the option of providing your own t-shirts for a dress you can wear your favorite memories any time you want!  These dresses have been very popular during their end of summer debut and can be worn into the fall with a light sweater and leggings.  El Mismo Sol dresses are great for a trip to the farmer's market or a day out with the girls.  They can be made in any size and any color combination or pick from the many exciting colors I have already created or send in your own shirts for a personalized dress.     

Summer on the St. Croix

     With summer quickly drawing to a close I am looking back at some of my favorite summer activities and the art inspired by my fun in the sun!  Living on the beautiful St. Croix River, I am able to kayak, swim and enjoy my summer looking out over the sparkling waters just outside my door.  

It's the little moments...

     This summer I was fortunate enough to take many road trips with my friends.    We had a hoot sailing, camping, and competing in the North Shore Dragon Boat Festival.  No matter where I go I am always humbled by the opportunities for adventure, my wonderful friendships, and the beauty of the world around me.
